Can you patent a pig?

Monsanto is trying to. This is scary! If they can patent the pig, what is next?

isn't it crazy that things like this aren't the big news headlines. this is why heirlooms are so important. have you looked into heirloom animals yet?

This wasn't posted on the farming blog? How do you schedule a post anyway. I think I want to do the triathlon. Are you serious about it. When you going to plunk down the cash?

It's scheduled for the backyard farming blog as well, I just didn't want to have 2 videos right in a row on the other blog.

As for the triathlon, all $86 is plunked down, so I'm committed. Nora, you should totally do it!!!

And to schedule a post on your blog, you go into post options, put the date and time you want the article to post, then click 'publish'. When you go into your list of posts, it will tell you what and when you have everything scheduled. It is great! I was always forgetting to post articles on the BYF blog first thing in the morning, I wanted the readers to see a fresh new post first thing in the morning.

Ya - I had never heard of Monsanto either. It's such a weird idea...if you have a fat juicy pig you want to sell - then make it reproduce and sell the babies like normal people!! I like how the farmer said 'you might as well patent sunshine'...

How did you hear about this whole thing anyway? It's definitely a good idea to keep tabs on such crazy people/corporations. They need to be kept in check...
