I am now officially registered for the Salt Lake City 1/2 Marathon scheduled for April 19th. Maybe I should start running, what do you think? Actually I have been training for the last 2 months. I've only gotten up to a 10 mile run, but I figure that is close enough right? If I can run 10 miles, what is another 3?
Who has races lined up this spring/summer? Anyone tried a triathlon? I really want to do one and every year I say I'm going to do one, but never do.

I'm attempting my FIRST EVER long distance race in my whole life in October-- half marathon. Kill me now, since I can barely do two miles without wanting to die.
Stephanie, that is awesome!!! You will do great, and you have plenty of time to get your mileage up. When I did my first 1/2 marathon, I started running in May and could only run about a mile, the race was in August and I felt fully prepared.
It's funny, I was just researching the marathons today. I can run...um 3 miles right now, so I probably won't do one in April. hehe! Maybe I'll see how the 5K goes. There's a marathon in Park City (talk about a fun place to run) in August...but, we'll see. There's a lot to think about.
in the future, i fully plan on doing a 1/2 marathon - i don't think i'll ever want to do a full marathon - too much for me. just lots of reasons. anyway - right now i'm just working on getting in shape. . . and weaning my baby so i can actually go on runs without scheduling it around nursing. HEH.
Marisa-- you have NO IDEA how much better that makes me feel that you could only run about a mile when you started! there is hope for me.
Hobble creek is in August and I am still planning on running it. Totally send me those seeds. I have been out of it for the past 2 months, so much going on. We also need to get together. Chris is always talking about it.
How did it go?
I finally posted about it.
