Twilight

*Jamie and I both left the theater a little embarrassed to be there, I'm just glad the tickets were free. *

This was taken from Rebecca Westovers blog, and it is pretty much how I felt about the movie:

-NO, the movie was NOT good.

-Yes, the movie was hysterically funny (but it's not SUPPOSED to be funny).

-Yes, it was purely ridiculous.

-No, I can't stop laughing about it.

-Yes, it had lots of slow motion, silly special effects, and hilariously pathetic acting.

-Yes, I was the gal in the theater who kept laughing at all the wrong times, and at all the wrong scenes.

-No, you should not go see this movie.

-Yes, your 10-year-old daughter would love it.

-And YES, the vampires dancing around the fire was quite possibly the most hilarious thing I've seen in a long time.

I can't stop laughing about it.

At any rate, the movie made a great "girls night out."

I felt the same way about the book...it was entertaining...but not amazing or anything. The movie was the same. I didn't think it was ridiculous (not any more than the whole premise). I thought the special effects were lame, though. Some things are just better left to imagination...or Steven Spielberg, I guess.

I loved the Movie, But you can't love the movie if you don't even like the book!

You didn't even like the book! How can you even expect to like the movie? I loved the book and didn't go into the movie with much expectation, but ended up really liking it. You do have to remember that the book and movie were written more for teenagers, so I can understand why such a sophisticated person like yourself wouldn't like it. Lots of Love!!!

Let me get this straight, I didn't hate the book, I just didn't think it was as AMAZING as everyone else. I enjoyed it, and even contemplated reading the second one. It has been hyped up so much when I read it, that I expected it to be life changing. I read it right after a life changing book, so it just couldn't compare.

funny different people have totally different views of the movie/book.
I am out of it in Russia. Can't decide if I will watch it when I come to the States for Christmas or not. What do you recommend seeing that is new out?

We don't go to the movies very often, so I'm not good at recommending what is out. We did go and see Bolt in 3D for Thanksgiving, it was so fun. My kids loved it, and I was fascinated by it being 3D.

I absolutely LOVED the books!! It took me forever to get around to reading because I couldn't get over the BIG hype about them. I really had actually refused to read them, but after my surgery I decided to read them for something to do and was addicted. I read all 4 books in 5 days. Maybe if you read them in a different mind set Marisa you would like them. On the whole movie there were definately some hiccups for me, but I still Loved the movie.
