My Lucky Day

My day started out with my friend Holly, and a soap making lesson, what a great way to start the day. I think I found a new hobby!!! Thanks Holly! On my way home, Michael told me to go and do something and he would watch the kids. Whenever Michael says something like that, I can't figure out anything to do. I decided to take him up on the offer when I spotted a Salvation Army. I'm a sucker for yard sales and thrift stores.

This thrift store was particularly good, they had a whole section of items from Target, brand new. I got these boots for $10, I have been wanting some for a long time. They are perfect for tromping around the chicken coop in the fall/winter/spring.

This lamp goes perfect in Mason's surf themed room, I couldn't pass it for $7.
Last but not least, I got these cute shoes, also new for $6. It isn't really the season for them, but I will still wear them until the snow is seeping in.

Kathy, if that is all it takes to make you happy, they are yours! Unfortunately you probably don't have boats for feet like I do.

Marisa,

Where is that Salvation Army? I didn't know there even was one in SLC.

I just got on your blog to check the moving/house selling saga. Are you still on the market?

Those are rockin boots! I am jealous. How did the Wasabi soap go? Did you unmold it?

Kim (Carter) makes soap and lotions also. She had an online business until she sold it. I also have the exact same shoes. They're Camper knock offs so not only did you save over $100 but you're super fashionable. =p

Hey I just had to come back and tell you that Toby and I went to Target last night and saw THOSE boots! They are still in the store and they are $25. Good deal!

Kim, yes, it is the Salvation Army over by your house. I went back again yesterday. I'm addicted.

Julie, any tips on cleaning the shoes? I walked around in the dirt yesterday with them, they don't look as cute dirty.

Kristi, it figures that you know the name brand, I'm so honored that you said I'm fashionable!

Holly, I did unmold the soap, it is great. Michael and the kids love the smell of it. How long do I let it set?

Jamie, the S.A. is on 5600 West and around 30th south. It is just south of the DI out there.

The housing market is terrible right now, as most people know. We get a lot of showings, and have had the one offer, but that is it. We had 4 showings Saturday and 3 for today. I can't stand having to keep my house that clean.
