Summer Nights

Ahhh....warm summer nights. In about 2 weeks everything is going to come to a screeching halt for a while. I'm trying to cram in all the fun summer activities possible before the baby comes.
So last night I let the kids sleep on the tramp. They were having a great time, laughing, talking, jumping.....20 mins. later in walks Mason with his pillow and sleeping bag stating, "I'm sleeping inside, they are telling ghost stories." At about 11:30 in walks Maya to sleep on her bed. Reece was the only one to stick it out.

I could hardly sleep all night, we put a lock on our gate last night in hopes that it would slow down any kidnappers that just happened to wander into our backyard looking for kids sleeping on the tramp. I also made our dog Jada sleep outside to protect the kids, the only problem is that she didn't like that idea, even though I put her bed out there, she whined the whole night.

What's up next? The Utah Symphony is putting on an outside concert tomorrow night, we may be going to that.

So so fun. It's funny how quickly this idea goes from fun to scary for kids. I still remember sleeping outside with my friends and scaring ourselves silly.

just think in a few years he'll use "just sleeping on the tramp mom," as a decoy while he's out with his buds. ok maybe i'm just thinking of my tweenage self. :)

Exactly, that is why my kids are not going to be allowed to have sleepovers.

aahhh...I remember sleeping out on the tramp all the time when I was a kid. Good times. I thought I was the only mean mom that doesn't agree with sleepovers:)

We let the kids do that last week or the week before. We got a small tv and they watched a movie. They all stayed out there sleeping. Thought we would let them do it before we turned on the sprinklers and it wasn't suppose to rain that night!!

I know Marisa, I feel a little dirty talking about Liquify on my blog, I was just laughing SO HARD.

I got the hypnobirthing book and almost read all of it last night. I don't know that I have enough time to really get where I need to be, but I love the thoughts and ideas behind it...but I get dizzy with the breathing...am I a wuss?
